Strange but true, a girl in India brushes her teeth using rat poison. It was Afsana Khan (18) who had an accident at her home in Dharavi on 3 September 2021.
At that time he got up to brush his teeth in the morning. Instead of taking toothpaste, he subconsciously reached for the rat poison cream that was stored beside him.
He then did not realize that he had brushed his teeth with the rat poison.
Launching from the pages of The Times of India, Wednesday (15/9/2021), Afsana Khan realized too late that the taste and smell were different from what she thought of toothpaste. When he realized, he frantically tried to clean the deadly poison from his mouth. But it was too late, he even felt dizzy while still in the bathroom.
Worried that his family would scold him for carelessly brushing his teeth with rat poison, he continued to take some medicine due to the severe stomach pain he felt.
The drugs consumed are not effective. Eventually, he was taken to private and public hospitals at least 3 times, but his condition worsened.
Declared Dead of Poisoning
With her health gradually deteriorating and her mother constantly being questioned, Afsana finally admitted the guilt she had committed on September 3 to her family members. They then took Afsana to Sir JJ Hospital for treatment on 12 September.
Despite all efforts to save Afsana, she was not rescued and breathed her last that night.
